This course is suitable for anyone with the drive and passion to improve the health, fitness and wellbeing of individuals aged 65+. Regardless of whether you are a personal trainer, yoga teacher or gym instructor, the age spectrum of your clients will be broad; therefore, it is essential to understand what exercises can and cannot be performed by different age groups. This qualification enables you to expand on your current roles and is a potential way to earn more money.
Learners must hold one or more of the following:
• Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing or equivalent
• Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Walking
• Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training
• Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates
• Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga

REPs Points & Accreditation
By the end of this course you will be a fully qualified instructor for Older Adults, receiving a Level 3 Award in Adapting Exercise for Independently Active, Older People (YMCA Awards). You will be awarded 20 CPD points for completion. This course does not give you entry as a Level 3 Fitness Professional.
